Aesop's fable of the Tortoise and the Hare introduces
this new program. Next, the question is asked, "Who would
win the race in the real world?" Fabulous facts about the
four kinds of turtles and different types of hares follow. The
children learn how to tell a tortoise from other kinds of turtles
and a hare from a rabbit. Folk art turtles and rabbits from around
the world are unpacked from the suitcase and serve as models when
the children draw.
